WORLD CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY
BAMSI participated in the Ministry of Economic Affairs World Consumer Rights Day exhibition under the theme “A just transition to sustainable lifestyles”. BAMSI’s booth highlighted the various components of BAMSI the academic institute and the demonstration farm. BAMSI displayed an assortment of farm-grown vegetables along with a video presentation on climate-smart agriculture. We also incorporated the various ways you can use vegetables with a cucumber salad which was surely a crowd pleaser, along with cobb salads displayed in mason jars to solidify the importance of choosing our locally grown produce. Chairman Tyrone Fowler of BAMSI, Minister the Hon. Zane Lightbourne along with Chairman of the Consumer Protection Commission Senator Randy Rolle were all delighted to see and taste the goodness of the cucumber salad that excluded our local conch.
