About the STCW Course
BAMSI is proud to offer internationally recognized STCW training in compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards. This certification is mandatory for anyone seeking employment aboard commercial vessels, cruise ships, or other seagoing vessels.
The STCW course provides essential safety training and emergency procedures for those working at sea.
This course is designed to prepare you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to successfully sit the examination for the Class "B" Master's license.
Courses Offered
Our training includes the STCW Basic Safety Training Modules:
- Personal Survival Techniques (PST)
- Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF)
- Elementary First Aid (EFA)
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR)
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Please note that you will also be required to submit the following supporting documents:
- A recent color passport sized photo,
- Medical certicate
- and a valid Government Issued photo ID

⏱️ Duration
5 Days Intensive Course
Includes both classroom instruction and hands-on practical sessions. An assessement is given at the end of each module.

Certification

Become a Certified Boat Captain with BAMSI
Course Overview
The Captain B License Training offered by BAMSI is designed to certify individuals operating commercial or charter vessels within Bahamian waters. This license is issued by the Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) and is a legal requirement for individuals who wish to serve as captains on vessels 40 feet and under, carrying passengers for hire or operate a commercial vessel of up to 100 GrossTons as a Captain.
