Aquaponics is a simple, self-sustaining ecosystem composed of fish, bacteria and plants that allow you to grow healthy, nutritious food in your own backyard without a huge investment of time. The Introduction to Aquaponics Certificate Course will show you the way.
By studying this course, you will:
- Become familiar with the difference between aquaculture, hydroponics and aquaponics
- Understand the importance of water quality within an aquaponics system.
- Learn about various aquaponics systems that meets differing requirements
- Know how to keep fish and vegetables alive and healthy

Students are required to build a small scale system. Course fee does not include materials

They should also be knowledgeable about how the system works using the nitrogen cycle, what basic system designs are best suited for a backyard garden, and how to manage a small system for daily operation. |
