I am honored to serve as the President of The Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute, BAMSI
Since its official opening on September 29th, 2014, the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) has made tremendous strides in advancing agricultural and marine science education in The Bahamas. Answering the national call for relevant, technical training, BAMSI has become the premier tertiary institution dedicated to agriculture, marine sciences, aquaculture, environmental science, and agribusiness. 
True to our motto, “Feeding Minds, Growing Greatness,” we are deeply committed to academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning. Our students benefit from a dynamic and supportive environment where learning extends well beyond the classroom. Internships, service learning, and student-led organizations form a vital part of the BAMSI experience. With small, affordable, and highly interactive classes, our programs are designed to respond directly to the needs of our country and the broader region.
I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our students and alumni. Many have gone on to pursue further studies internationally, while others have emerged as successful agri-preneurs and technical professionals, including agricultural extension officers serving across the islands of The Bahamas. Their achievements speak to the strength of our academic programs and the dedication of our faculty and staff. Truly, greatness grows here.
To build on this momentum, the Institute continues to expand its offerings with impactful initiatives including professional workshops, certificate programs, online courses, and our Summer Educational Enhancement Development Session (SEEDS), which introduces young people to the exciting possibilities within the field of agriculture. All degrees and programs offered by BAMSI are registered and approved by the National Accreditation and Equivalency Council of The Bahamas (NAECOB), and are internationally recognized and respected.
Our strong network of local, regional, and international partners enriches both our academic offerings and faculty expertise, ensuring that our graduates are globally aware while remaining deeply rooted in national development goals.
