Farmers Voice Virtual Meeting

The Bahamas Agriculture & Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), under the direction of Executive Chairman Senator, Hon. Tyrel Young,  hosted its third Farmers Voice virtual meeting on Thursday. More than 100 farmers joined the virtual meeting to share their concerns, ask questions, seek clarity and also shine a spotlight on the positive initiatives emerging from the sector. 
Joining BAMSI at the meeting were officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs, Minister Clay Sweeting and Parliamentary Secretary, the Hon. Leonardo Lightbourne; the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) Executive Chairman Leroy Major and the Bahamas Agricultural Health, Food & Safety Authority (BAHFSA) Chairperson Dr. Patricia Symonette and Executive Director Monique Pindling.
