Fly-fishing conclave bridges gap between veterans and new guides

Well-seasoned fly fishing guides, including three in their nineties, were honored by the Bahamas Fly Fishing Industry Association (BFFIA) for their pioneering work that has helped to make The Bahamas one of the most popular destinations in the world for anglers.

The BFFIA is hosting a three-day conclave that ends today, connecting new guides, like those enrolled in the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) program, with veteran guides, as well as government and private officials in order to advance the industry.

Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Vaughn Miller said it was a joy to see how happy and appreciative the awardees were of the respect and gratitude they received from all who value their contributions.
